USPTA TEXAS
QUICKSTART CHAMPIONSHIP
The USPTA Texas Division and the USTA Texas
Section is hosting the second annual
state playoff for the QuickStart Tennis players.
This playoff will give these young
players an exciting weekend that is sure to have
them fall in love with the game. Start promoting
QuickStart Tennis in your area and bring a team
to the playoff.
It will be the most fun you and your kids
have ever had.
Call to reserve a spot for your team before
entering. Each round
for the Texas Championship will
consist of 8 singles players: two boys and two girls in
each division: QuickStart 8 & under (QS8) and
QuickStart 10 & under (QS10).
(Even though QuickStart is unisex, we
want an equal representation from both genders.)
The format for the event will be a round
robin.
Flights will be formed to insure at least
three rounds of tennis for every player.
Play will be as follows:

QS8 & under will
play on a 36'
court with the
red ball.
QS10 &
under will play
on a 60' court
with the orange
ball.
Servers may
bounce & hit a
forehand to
start the point.
Scoring will be
first to win 4
points wins a
game; first to
win 4 games
winning the set
in both
divisions.
Players will use the
standard
QuickStart
“bounce-hit”
feed for the
serve.
Each
round should
last
approximately
20-30
minutes. |
